Jonas Andrade
Born in 1996 in Fortaleza, Brazil, Jonas Andrade began his journey in sports with Muay Thai before discovering his passion for jiu-jitsu in 2012 under the guidance of Leandro Silva. His dedication to the sport quickly led him to an intense routine of training and competitions.
In 2014, he traveled to São Paulo to compete and had the opportunity to train at Cícero Costha’s academy, an experience that solidified his decision to pursue a career in jiu-jitsu. After finishing high school, he moved permanently to São Paulo, joining Fighter House, where he refined his skills and began competing internationally.
Excelling in the colored belt divisions, Jonas built strong ties with Unity Jiu-Jitsu in New York, training under the mentorship of Murilo Santana.
After a successful year as a brown belt, he was promoted to black belt in June 2019 by Cícero Costha and Murilo Santana, establishing himself as a rising talent in the sport.
